The Cadet Boot with its traditional GOODYEAR WELTED Construction is a very sturdy shoe. This construction doesn’t make the boot light or supple. But that is a conscious choice, because only a sturdy hard sole can withstand the extreme forces of marching on hard surfaces. The heel is equipped with a metal horseshoe to make the impressive marching sounds possible, and this metal is extremely resistant to wear of the heel.
